Bio- Hello! My name is Megan. I am 23 years old and just graduated from the University of Hartford. I majored in elementary/ special education. I currently still live in Connecticut but will be moving home in June permanently.
Wanted- I am looking for a summer position for 2012. I would like between 25-40 hours per week and can accommodate any schedule you have. I have no other commitments this summer.
Experience-I have experience with children from 6 months to 14 years old. I also have experience with children with disabilities ranging from ADHD to autism. I have been babysitting/ nannying since I was 16 years old. I was a dance teacher my junior and senior year of high school. I was a camp counselor for two years at Camp Walt Whitman. I tutored children all around the Hartford area for four years while I attended college. When I graduated University of Hartford in February I received a job right away as a kindergarten teacher at Pitkin Elementary (East Hartford) which ends in June.
Likes- I love playing outside whether it's kicking a ball around or swimming in the pool (I have an in ground pool available if needed for day trips). I also love rainy days and doing things from hide and seek to arts and crafts and board games. Day trips are always fun and library visits are great.
Other- I am very responsible, punctual and loving. I do not smoke and will only work in smoke-free homes. I love pets, especially dogs, and can take care of those for no extra charge. I have a reliable 2003 Jetta and a clean driving record. I charge $10-$12 an hour depending on your situation.
